PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old Plant City man was killed in a crash that happened around 1:11 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Plant City man was driving a van northbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard, approaching Johnston Road and a tractor-trailer was heading southbound on Bellamy Brothers Boulevard.
Troopers say while negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway, the van traveled into the path of the tractor-trailer, striking the front left side of the truck.
Investigators say the impact rotated the van to a stop in the southbound lane of Bellamy Brothers Boulevard.
The Plant City man was transported to an area hospital but later died from injuries suffered in the crash.
