WINTER HAVEN, FL. – Police in Winter Haven are searching for a man who got a ‘sleight-of-hand’ discount at Walmart on Apple Products.
According to police, the man pictured, visited the electronics counter at Walmart located at 7450 Cypress Gardens Blvd., and requested an iPad and Apple watch from a locked cabinet.
Police say the man proceeds to pay for the merchandise in all $20 bills,
Investigators say as the clerk counts out the cash, the man is able to slide money from the counter behind the bag.
He then hands the clerk some of the cashback to make it appear he was giving the final amount when actually he kept $800.
Police say the register was found to be short at the end of the day, and it was reported that this same man wearing the same clothes did this at the Auburndale Walmart as well.
This magician skated with a new iPad and Apple Watch for $308.
