POLK COUNTY, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has reopened Berkley Road in Auburndale at about 8:52 pm Wednesday evening following a double-fatal, two-vehicle crash that occurred near Berkley Point Drive at about 4:07 pm.
The PCSO also responded to a report of a capsized canoe in a lake near Mulberry Wednesday afternoon at around 4:37 pm.
Two men were in the canoe, and one was able to swim to shore. The other man was found deceased at around 8:52 pm.
PCSO will be releasing more details in both of these cases on Thursday morning and we will update these stories.
