SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department is conducting a death investigation after the body of an adult man was found near Bayfront Park in Sarasota, just after 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
According to investigators, someone called in and said the body of an adult man was floating in the area of Bayfront Park.
When officers arrived, the man was pronounced dead.
Sarasota Police officers do not believe foul play is involved at this time, but the investigation remains active and ongoing. The cause of death will be determined by the District 12 Medical Examiner’s Office.
