Sarasota Search Warrant Lands Two Drug Traffickers In Jail

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Sarasota Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment at 4900 North Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 4:30 a.m. 

Investigators say the search warrant was a result of Probation and Parole members conducting a probation search of the residence and finding several items of contraband. 

Two adults were arrested and illegal narcotics were seized from the home.

The search warrant yielded 32.5 grams of Cocaine, 14.6 grams of Fentanyl, 16.8 grams of Synthetic Cannabis, 506 grams of Marijuana, 2 Alprazolam Pills (used to treat anxiety and panic disorder, 16 Gabapentin Pills (used to treat seizures and pain), and $1,040.72 in U.S. currency.

Krystal M. Bailey, 40, of Sarasota, was arrested and is facing charges of:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (28-199 grams)
  • Trafficking in Fentanyl (14-28 grams)
  • Possession of Marijuana within 1000′ of a Church with Intent
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Scheduled 1 Synthetic Marijuana
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Alprazolam
  • Possession of Drug without a Prescription
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Marcus T. Thomas, 30, of Sarasota, was arrested and is facing charges of:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine (28-199 grams)
  • Trafficking in Fentanyl (14-28 grams)
  • Possession of Marijuana within 1000′ of a Church with Intent
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Scheduled 1 Synthetic Marijuana
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – Alprazolam
  • Possession of Drug without a Prescription
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
