Selmon Extension Temporarily Halts Construction Over The Holiday

TAMPA, Fla. – Beginning on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at 6 am, the Selmon Extension crews will temporarily stop construction for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Work will resume on Sunday night, January 3, 2021. While there will be no lane closures, some workers will be on-site in the construction zones. Reduced speed limits in this area will remain in effect.

OTHER EXTENSION CONSTRUCTION ALERTS WEEK OF DECEMBER 19, 2020 – JANUARY 2, 2021

  • Modified traffic pattern remains on the south side of the Westshore/Gandy intersection. The right-turn and thru-lane share the same lane.
  • Crosswalk closure still in effect (between Westshore Office Center and Circle K) along the west side of Westshore Boulevard.

A yield sign remains in place at the bottom off-ramp onto westbound Gandy Boulevard from the Expressway.

Sidewalk closure remains in place on eastbound Gandy Boulevard between the Dale Mabry Highway interchange and Lois Avenue.
