MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - A 19-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant for second-degree murder and robbery in connection with a shooting on 10th Avenue W., turned himself into the Bradenton Police Department on Friday, June 23.

BRADENTON, Fla. – A 19-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant for second-degree murder and robbery in connection with a shooting on 10th Avenue W. turned himself into the Bradenton Police Department on Friday, June 23.

Kobe Brooks is the seventh suspect arrested and charged with murder in this case.

According to Bradenton Police detectives, on January 23, 2023, the suspects arrived at a home in the 100 block of 10th Ave. W. to commit an armed robbery.

During the robbery, the suspects opened fire. More than 60 rounds were fired, striking three victims. One of the victims, a 23-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries on January 31. The victims’ identities are not being released, per Marsy’s Law.

The following individuals are in custody and charged with armed robbery and murder:

  • Tyreak Allen, 20
  • Mekhi Booker, 18
  • Dorian Brooks, 24
  • Kevion Brooks, 22
  • Kobe Brooks, 19
  • Shamar Mobley, 20
  • Jerome Williams, 20
