POLK COUNTY, FL. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office is seeking 29-year-old Jesse Barker in a theft that occurred at a Cemex location in Lake Wales back in September.
According to PCSO, Jesse Barker is accused of moving a jon boat and removing its motor from a Cemex location. Copper wire had been taken from the property as well, according to deputies.
Investigators say a cell phone was found at the scene, and a detective was able to determine that it belonged to Barker.
With that bit of information, the detective checked scrapping records and found that Barker had recently scrapped some copper wire.
“Barker has been a guest at the Polk County Jail on numerous occasions, with his last stay occurring in March of this year. It’s time he returns. Not so much because we miss him, but more because he has been up to no good again,” said PCSO in a social post.
“We would really like to capture Barker before he burgles and thieves again. It’s kind of his thing. He was out on bond for going onto CSX property and stealing copper wire from there,” added PCSO.
If you have any information regarding Jesse Barker’s whereabouts, please contact Detective Doerr at 863-632-3746.
