SARASOTA, Fla. – A boat explosion near Longboat Key sent six people into the water around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.
Authorities say multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the FWC, the USCG, and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue, and rescued all six boaters aboard a 24-foot-long Yellowfin.
All six passengers that were aboard the Yellowfin have been accounted for and taken to the hospital, police say.
