CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a pedestrian-involved crash shortly after 5:00 am on Tuesday in the 1400 block of Sunset Point Road.
The vehicle left the scene; the adult male pedestrian died after being taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
The pedestrian has been identified as 32-year-old Kelvin Solomon of Clearwater.

Traffic homicide investigators are seeking a possible high-profile vehicle, an SUV or a truck, as the possible suspect vehicle that fled the scene.

Sunset Point Road was closed between Kings Highway and Highland Avenue as the investigation was conducted, but has since reopened.
