PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – According to investigators, deputies responded to a shooting at the 4Play Gentlemen’s Club located at 10387 Gandy Boulevard at approximately 4:13 a.m. on Saturday.
Investigators say there was a large altercation inside the Emporium Lounge which, at the time, was holding several hundred patrons. Large groups of people, including the victim, exited the club and were gathered in the parking lot.
Upon their arrival, deputies discovered one victim deceased in the parking lot from an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives have identified the victim as 24-year-old Jametric Facyson and his next of kin has been notified.
32-year-old Gai Marwil, was leaving in his vehicle when he opened fire striking the victim. He was pronounced deceased at the scene and Marwil fled the location. A short time later, Marwil was involved in a single vehicle crash at I-275 and 54th Avenue North and was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to identify Marwil as the suspect and placed him under arrest.
Marwil has been charged with First Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm and remains hospitalized. Once released he will be transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
