PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Tampa man and woman from Georgia lost their lives in a crash that happened on Saturday around 3:01 pm.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Suzuki GSX-R600, operated by a 30-year-old Tampa man, was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed on SR-56 in Wesley Chapel.

Troopers say a Nissan Altima, operated by a 32-year-old Wesley Chapel woman, was traveling eastbound on SR-56 when, at the intersection of Piazza Avenue, turned left into the path of and was struck by the motorcycle.
Troopers say the Tampa man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
According to FHP, a passenger in the Nissan, a 36-year-old woman from Fitzgerald, Georgia, suffered injuries and later died at a local hospital.
