Tampa Man Killed After Running Red Light And Crashing Into Lakeland Man’s Trailer

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 30-year-old Tampa man was killed in a collision that happened around 4:54 am Saturday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 30-year-old Tampa man was traveling southbound on Turkey Creek Road approaching the intersection of SR-60, when he failed to stop at the red light.

A tractor-trailer, driven by a 62-year-old Lakeland man was driving through the intersection, and the car collided with the left rear of the trailer.

Troopers say the man was ejected from the car on impact and was taken to an area hospital, but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Lakeland man had no injuries in the crash.
