Tampa Police Continue Search For Suspect Who Shot 16-Year-Old At Curtis Hixon Park

Tampa Police continue their investigation into a shooting that took place on Sunday night at Curtis Hixon Park.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police continue their investigation into a shooting that took place on Sunday night at Curtis Hixon Park.

The victim, a 16-year-old black male, remains in the hospital in serious but stable condition and is expected to recover from his injury.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-to-late teens with a short afro. He is approximately 5’6″-5’9″ and was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, and black sneakers at the time of the shooting.

Detectives are speaking with witnesses and checking with nearby businesses to gather the evidence needed to identify and apprehend the suspect.
