The City of Tampa Solid Waste Department will begin offering curbside Christmas Tree Collection Service, at no additional charge, on Monday, December 27, 2021.

Tampa Solid Waste Department Revises Schedule For Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

TAMPA, FL. – In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, City of Tampa offices will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022. 

  • The revised collection schedule is as follows:
    • Residential Customers who normally receive service on Monday will not receive garbage, recycling, or yard waste service. Customers will receive service on their next scheduled service day. Regular residential collection service schedules will resume Tuesday, January 18, 2022. 
    • Commercial Customers collection service will run one day behind through Saturday, January 22, 2022. Regular collection service schedules will resume Monday, January 24, 2022.

McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House located at 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, January 17, 2022) and will reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Residents are encouraged to look up their scheduled collection dates through the Tampa Trash and Recycling tool located on the department’s website at www.tampa.gov/solidwaste so that they may be prepared. The tool also provides a sign-up option for a reminder notification and is available for download on Apple and Android products.
