After reportedly killing and beheading a 65-year-old man and his dog and then confessing to the crime, a 35-year-old Texas man was taken into custody on murder and other counts.

According to an affidavit that KSAT-TV reviewed, officers from the San Antonio Police Department responded to the 500 block of Demya Drive on Friday, October 15, in response to a report of a suspicious person peering inside parked cars on the street.

The man, Bradley Dimmick, allegedly told police, “I just killed somebody.”

Police were tipped off that the killing had taken place at a house on the 2100 block of San Lucas Street and discovered blood on the floor when they unlocked the door upon their arrival.

Officers found a headless body in the living room and a dead dog near the front door, according to KENS-TV.

While searching the house, the police discovered the victim’s head inside a bathtub.

Detectives said they “observed a large stomach wound on the deceased dog and on Keith Dimmick’s body.”

According to the affidavit, the dog’s and Keith Dimmick’s wounds “had intestines extruding from their bodies.”

According to reports, Keith Dimmick hadn’t returned calls since October 13 at approximately 9:20 a.m.

According to court documents from Bexar County, Bradley Dimmick is charged with murder, killing and torturing and abusing an animal. The amount of his bond was set at $1.5 million.
