Thonotosassa Woman Dies After Collision With Truck And Crashing Into Dade City Building

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 70-year-old Thonotosassa woman was killed in a crash that happened on Wednesday at 5:28 pm in Dade City.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevy Cavalier, driven by a 70-year-old Thonotosassa woman, was traveling southbound on 7th Street in Dade City, in the northbound travel lane, approaching Robinson Avenue. 

Troopers say a Ford Ranger, driven by a 31-year-old Plant City man, was traveling southbound on 7th Street, in the left turning lane, approaching Robinson Avenue.

As Ford attempted a left turn at the intersection, the two vehicles collided. 

After the impact, the Chevy departed the roadway and crashed into a building located at 14330 7th Street while Ford came to a controlled stop on 7th Street. 

Transported to an area hospital, the Thonotosassa woman, who was unrestrained later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
