Threatening Hoax Phone Calls at Bayfront Health and All Children’s Hospital

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – Around 6:06 pm today, Saint Pete Police emergency communications center received a call from a man who falsely claimed to be near Bayfront Health and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and made threatening statements.

Police say that after investigating, officers determined the was a hoax call. The caller was not located, and no one faced an actual threat.

In a statement, the St. Pete Police department said, “SPPD takes all threats seriously and the investigation into the call, is still underway.”
