Three children from Maryland, Moises Montes, Brooklynn Wolcott, and Mackenzie Shirk, were recently granted Magical Dreams from the Sunshine Foundation for family trips to Florida.

Moises lives with Level 3 Severe Autism. Brooklynn has experienced a cerebrovascular accident, commonly known as a stroke. Mackenzie lives with static encephalopathy, a condition characterized by non-progressive brain damage that occurred early in life.

Thank you so much for giving Moises a dream. This trip has been so much fun for Moises and my family. From the moment we got on the plane to come here, it has been magical moments that we as a family will cherish forever. Moises favorite part will have to be meeting Goofy, seeing his eyes in amazement and pure enjoyment was amazing. I want to say how appreciative our family is to the sponsors who made this opportunity happen. We will cherish this dream trip forever!” said Moise’s mother, Gloria.

“To Brooklynn’s sponsors, I want them to know from the bottom of our family’s heart how much this trip meant to not only Brooke but our family as a whole. There is no amount of words to say thank you,” Brooklynn’s mom said in a statement.

“Mackenzie had a blast and the best time at Disney World. We were there for her birthday and got to celebrate it with breakfast at The Crystal Palace with Winnie-the-Pooh. Thank you for giving her this opportunity to go to Disney,” said Mackenzie’s mom.

Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long severe chronic illnesses and conditions such as spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others.

Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations to make these dreams a reality for children who may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis.

Moises, Brooklynn, and Mackenzie’s “Dreams Come True” were made possible through generous donations from the Sunshine Foundation All-Volunteer New Castle County Chapter, Glory Days Grill, Feasterville Business Association, and other generous donors.
