POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Treasure Island woman suffered serious injuries in a crash with a Polk County School Bus on Monday.
No children were on a school bus when a crash occurred around 5:23 am, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a Polk County School bus was traveling eastbound on Holly Hill Cut-Off Road while a car was traveling southbound on US-27.
At the intersection, the school bus turned left into the path of the car and the front of the sedan struck the left rear of the bus.
There were no children aboard the bus, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Investigators say the driver of the car, a 21-year-old Treasure Island woman, suffered serious injuries in the crash.
