CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police officers are on the scene of a crash at Court Street and Fort Harrison Avenue.
Police say the crash happened about 7:30 this morning.
According to investigators, a westbound pickup hauling a trailer veered out of control and left the road just east of Fort Harrison Avenue.

The truck took out a couple of signs and some vegetation before becoming lodged on a small wall and wedged against a power pole.
The traffic signal at Court/Fort Harrison is out; drivers should watch for officers directing traffic and lower their speeds.
The driver is being checked out at a local hospital as officers try to determine why the crash occurred.
