Two Dead, Florida Woman Killed When Car Crashes Into Her Home Overnight

PALM HARBOR, FL. – Two people have died after a speeding car crashes through a home overnight in Palm Harbor on Friday night around 10:20 pm.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid, and was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed on Manning Road approaching Hermosa Drive in Palm Harbor, Florida.

The driver, operating the vehicle, which was reportedly not in autopilot mode, failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the T-intersection.

Troopers say traveling through the intersection, the car struck an embankment, and became airborne until colliding with a residence located at 1498 Caird Way.

The car penetrated the exterior rear walls of the home and struck one of three adult occupants of the residence, resulting in fatal injuries to a 69-year-old female.

A passenger in the car, a 43-year-old Odessa man was transported to an area hospital and died from injuries sustained in the crash.
