U.S. Stimulus Deal Close, As Americans Wait

UPDATE TO THIS STORY CLICK HERE House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has invited Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to her office for a meeting on COVID-19 and government funding. The meeting is scheduled to occur at 4 p.m. ET. today, and we expect details of negotiations on the stimulus package.

“It’s about time to get this done,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on the floor Monday.

A bipartisan Senate negotiating group presented a $748 billion compromise bill with support from members of both parties on Monday. This bill does not contain direct payments to American citizens, however, but does contain additional unemployment payments of $300.00 per-week.

Read the Bill Below, we will update this story after details of the 4pm meeting are released.

  1. Are they that selfish, people need money for food bills and even Christmas gifts for their children. I hope they all have nightmares.

  2. Never again vote for lawmakers who don’t have your needs in mine but give raises to themselves and neglect are poor and jobless Americans !!
