The desperation of California to convince people to stay in what is descending into a Third World country is astonishing.

The Post Millennial reported Thursday that billboards appeared recently in Los Angeles literally trying to scare Californians not to move to Texas.

It does so by despicably referencing the school massacre in Uvalde, Texas.

As PM reported, the billboards feature an ominous man donning a hoodie and aviator-style sunglasses favored by President Joe Biden. An “X” is slapped over the slogan “Don’t mess with Texas,” as the rest of the billboard says, “The Texas Miracle Died in Uvalde. Don’t move to Texas.”

“Texas Miracle” was a phrase coined by former Republican Gov. Rick Perry to describe how the Lone Star State rebounded from the 2008 Great Recession.

Who sponsored the billboards is unclear.

“The message appears as Californians have been relocating to Texas in record numbers,” PM noted, with roughly 10 percent of new Texas transplants having relocated from California. Texas is the most popular destination for those exiting California.

The Golden State’s recent population decline – fed by big-city crime, high property and rent values, high volumes of homelessness, and trashed cities – cost the state a U.S. House seat, while Texas added two seats.

The New York Post, which also reported on the billboards, noted that some social media posters were bothered by the ads.

“Is Texas buying billboards to deter Californian expatriates from turning their state blue?” one Reddit user wanted to know. To which another replied, “Quite frankly this would make the most sense out of anything.”

Another account on Reddit blasted the board for invoking the shooting, saying the signs were “the most disgusting use of political propaganda, using the tragedy to their advantage.” Another added, “It’s honestly kinda offensive to the people who lost their children in Uvalde.”
