Will Smith smacked the hell out of comedian and host of the Oscars, Chris Rock after a joke went in the wrong direction.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) announced on Sunday night that comedian Chris Rock has not pressed charges against Will Smith for assaulting him during the live Oscars broadcast.
Smith smacked Rock at Sunday night’s ceremony after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head as he presented the Academy Award for best documentary.
“LAPD investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program,” the department said.
In the United States, the complete scene was cut from the live broadcast, but in other countries, such as Japan, the uncut version below, has a language warning.
