Wanted Wimauma Murder Suspect Now In Custody

WIMAUMA, Fla. – A man involved in the September 23, 2023, homicide on Sanchez Ranch Lane in Wimauma has turned himself in to deputies.

On September 23, 2023, HCSO deputies responded to a homicide on Sanchez Ranch Lane in Wimauma. During the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Osmin Castillo, 21, for 2nd Degree Murder.

During the investigation, detectives discovered that Castillo was also having a sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16.

On November 19, 2023, Osmin Castillo turned himself into Orient Road Jail and is currently facing the following charges:

  • Murder in the Second Degree with a Weapon
  • Lewd and Lascivious Battery X 9
  • In State Transmission of Child Pornography by Electronic Device X 3
  • Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance X 3
  • Possession of Child Pornography X 3

“Today, justice prevailed as our deputies removed another dangerous criminal from our streets,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The arrest of this individual responsible for this homicide and these other heinous crimes serves as a testament to the dedication of our team here at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.”
