WINTER HAVEN, FL. – Winter Haven Police Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday night injuring one person.
According to police, the public is not in any danger and the subject being investigated for the shooting is cooperating.
On Wednesday, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received regarding a shooting in the area of 3rd St and Post Ave.
Coinciding with this call, Winter Haven Police were notified that a shooting victim arrived at Winter Haven Health for treatment.
The injured subject has non-life-threatening injuries. Information gathered so far points to this possibly being drug-related.
The investigation is still early on and few details are available, but we will keep this story updated.
