TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal crash at Hillsborough Ave W and N Church Street that happened Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the scene at 8:24 a.m. on Saturday, locating an adult female who had been struck by a vehicle, unresponsive in the roadway.
Lifesaving measures were performed, and the victim was transported to a local hospital but ultimately died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Westbound traffic at W Hillsborough Ave / N Church St was closed because of this incident, but has since reopened.
