Four children, a 12-year-old, two 14-year-olds, and a 15-year-old, fled from police overnight, after stealing a car, which ended in a deadly crash, killing a 44-year-old innocent woman.

On Saturday, officers located a black Nissan that was reported stolen vehicle at 26th street and Chelsea Ave. in Tampa around 10:45 p.m.

According to police, officers attempted a traffic stop when the driver fled. A pursuit was initiated and the suspect vehicle fled east onto MLK Blvd. The driver continued on at a high rate of speed into the county towards Plant City.

The driver turned south on Turkey Creek Rd. and struck another vehicle from behind. The impact forced the Honda into a telephone pole.

The occupants inside the Honda were taken to the hospital, where a 44-year-old female passenger passed away from her injuries, and a 24-year old woman is in critical condition. Police say a 3-year-old man was injured as well and in stable condition.

Two of the four juveniles were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
