40-Year-Old Wesley Chapel Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash Wednesday Night

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 40-year-old man from Wesley CHapel was killed Wednesday night walking on Rt. 56.

A pickup truck, driven by a 50-year-old man from Zephryhills, was traveling eastbound on SR-56, east of Ancient Oaks Boulevard. The Wesley Chapel man was walking northbound across the eastbound lane of SR-56 and entered the path of the pickup truck. The man was subsequently struck by the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
