45-Year-Old Man In Critical Condition After Hit And Run On Sunday

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – A 45-year-old St. Petersburg man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while riding an electronic bicycle.

Police say at 4:40 a.m., the St. Pete man was traveling eastbound in the 7800 block of 38 Avenue North, on an electronic Ancheer Cross Country bicycle.

An unknown eastbound vehicle struck Budinsky from the rear, throwing him from the bicycle.  The vehicle then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Budinsky was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and is currently in grave condition, according to police.

The roadway was closed during the investigation and was re-opened.
