A longtime ABC News reporter knows who is really responsible for the crisis at the Mexican border. It’s Gov. Ron DeSantis, former President Donald Trump, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

Yes, according to ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz, it is DeSantis, Trump, and Abbott who are engineering the open-border policy — not Mr. Amnesty himself, President Joe Biden.

The left-wing Raddatz made this bizarre claim during an interview on Sunday with Abbott.

“You talk about the border wall, you talk about open borders, I don’t think I’ve ever heard President Biden say, ‘We have an open border, come on over,’” she told the Republican governor.

“But people I have heard say it are you, are former President Trump, are Ron DeSantis — that message reverberates in Mexico and beyond. So they do get the message that it’s an open border, and smugglers use all those kind of statements.”

Abbott answered, “It was known from the time that Joe Biden got elected that Joe Biden supported open borders. It is known by the cartels who have sophisticated information whether or not the Biden administration is going to enforce the immigration laws or not is known across the world but most importantly, known among the cartels.”

Fox News refuted this nonsense. On Tuesday, it played a clip of a 2019 Democratic presidential debate when Biden said, in part, “We’re a nation that says, “If you want to flee, and you’re fleeing oppression, you should come.”

Conservative media analyst Joe Concha pointed out during that segment that illegal immigrants have appeared at the border wearing “Biden: Let Us In” T-shirts.

Concha added that Raddatz “went into this interview on a mission — not for the truth in the name of journalism and not getting to the true story of what’s happening on the Southern border, which is in a crisis — she went there to push a narrative, a narrative that says that what’s happening at the border is simply fearmongering by Governors Abbott and DeSantis and the former President Trump.”

As Sen. Rick Scott pointed out on Wednesday, some 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border since Biden became president.

Meanwhile, Abbott pointed out on Fox News that when Trump was in office, the southern border experienced the lowest number of illegal crossings since before 2000.
