POLK COUNTY, Fla. -The driver who struck and killed 9-year-old Andres Martinez was located late Friday night and has been booked into the Hardee County Jail.

Gilbert Almaguer, 45, of Bowling Green, will be transferred to the Polk County Jail.

Deputies said a child, 9-year-old Andreas Martinez, was riding a bike on Hutchins Road in front of his house when he was struck and killed.

Andres Martinez was a fourth grader at Lewis Anna Woodbury Elementary School in Fort Meade.
