Just five years ago, House Democrats impeached former President Donald Trump for threatening to withhold military aid from Ukraine unless President Volodymyr Zelenskyy looked into corruption by Joe and Hunter Biden.

With Joe Biden in the White House, a Florida Republican wants to return the favor.

Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills announced plans to draw up an impeachment resolution for Biden over the Democrat’s refusal to send military aid to Israel as its forces battle radical Hamas militants.

As the Tampa Free Press reported this week, Israeli officials had said Biden threatened to cut off delivery of arms if its army invaded the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Rafah is the final stronghold of Hamas forces and also the site where more than 1 million Palestinians have been holed up since the war forced them from their homes.

Biden confirmed the decision on Wednesday. It came just days after Biden agreed to provide Israel military aid to fight Hamas in a $26 billion package.

On Thursday, Mills, a New Smyrna Beach Republican, said he would work to impeach Biden for undermining a key U.S. ally.

Mills’ resolution, which he posted on X, accuses Biden of abuse of power and states, “Using the powers of his high office, President Biden solicited a ‘quid pro quo’ with the foreign government of Israel by withholding precision guided weapons shipments in order to try and extract military policy changes.”

“President Biden sought to pressure the government of Israel to take steps by conditioning official United States Government acts of significant value to Israel,” it added.

“These types of actions are what President Trump was accused of and impeached over by Democrats,” Mills added on X. “They called it ‘Quid Pro Quo.’ Perhaps [it] should be renamed to ‘Quid Pro Joe.’”

“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now,” Mills told Fox News.

Other Republicans appear to be on board.

Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said on X, “The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection. Only with Biden, it’s true.”
