Citrus County Man Killed in Early Morning Crash

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – An overnight crash has claimed the life of a 40-year-old Beverly Hills man in Citrus County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling northbound on US-41 approaching South Airport Road when the driver, a 23-year-old Inverness man, lost control of the vehicle. The truck crossed the center median and southbound lanes, continued onto the west shoulder, overturned, and struck a light pole. As the truck overturned, a passenger in the vehicle, the 40-year-old man, was ejected and suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.

The driver and another passenger, a 32-year-old Inverness woman, both suffered serious injuries’. Troopers say the 40-year-old man was not wearing a seatbelt.
