Clearwater and Ruskin Men Die in Pinellas Park Corvette Accident

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – In Friday nights Corvette accident in Pinellas Park, police have identified the victims as driver Eric Deshaies 56-year-old from Clearwater, and passenger Brian Tomasek 42-year-old from Ruskin.

Pinellas Park Police officers were dispatched to a crash in the 10100 Block of MCI Drive. Upon arrival, a single-vehicle crash was located where the two men involved were pronounced deceased on the scene.

This was a single-vehicle crash involving a 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. The vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Investigators believe speed was a factor involved in the crash.
