MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 26-year-old man from Coral Springs, Florida, was arrested Saturday evening on multiple charges, including driving under the influence (DUI) and cocaine possession, following a traffic stop on U.S. 1.
Michael Alejandro Lopez was taken into custody at approximately 7:34 p.m. near Mile Marker 84 after he was reportedly observed driving on the bicycle path.

According to authorities, Lopez was initially arrested for DUI. A subsequent search allegedly revealed approximately 2.1 grams of cocaine and 3.4 grams of marijuana in his possession. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lopez was transported to the Monroe County Jail.
