Posing as shoppers, the pictured dynamic duo were caught on surveillance video committing a distraction-style theft at a Publix store, 3750 Roscommon Drive, Ormond Beach, Florida.
Deputies say while one suspect distracted the 80-year-old victim by engaging her in conversation, her cohort reached into the victim’s cart, stealing her wallet from inside her purse.
The suspects then exited the store, leaving their carts behind.
As the victim continued shopping, she realized her wallet had been stolen and she reported it to the store manager.
Volusia sheriff’s detectives want your help to identify these women. They’re linked to similar thefts in other Central Florida grocery stores.

“Remember to always be on the lookout for similar criminal behavior when you’re shopping. Never leave your wallet or purse unattended — criminals often prey on people they can distract and steal from. Better to keep your wallet or purse on your person,” said Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
