In the wake of the indictment of former President Donald Trump, a pro-law enforcement group is sounding the alarm about the ill effects of “Soros-backed” prosecutors.

The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, which raises awareness of the risks police officers face and defends those they believe are wrongfully accused, released a new map on Thursday to point out where people live under elected liberal prosecutors supported by left-wing billionaire George Soros.

“If you’re just learning about corrupt Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg today, you need to know he’s just the tip of the iceberg,” the group tweeted along with its map.

“The U.S. currently has at least 70 Soros-backed social justice prosecutors — supported through campaign dollars and/or Soros-funded progressive infrastructure groups.”

On the other hand, a dozen have been removed from office.

The list of those removed included former Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren. Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis relieved Warren, a Democrat, of his duties last year after Warren announced he would refuse to enforce a new state law that criminalized abortion after 15 weeks.

Reacting to the map on Twitter, Pedro Gonzalez, the political editor of the conservative Chronicles magazine, noted, “The only state that can say it ‘removed’ one of these progressive prosecutors is Florida, where DeSantis took Andrew Warren out of office last year.”

“They had to create a category just for Florida because Warren got ‘removed.’ Hilarious.”

The scrouge of the Soros-backed prosecutor is not just a blue-state phenomenon.

The LELDF notes that nearly half of that group are spread across the red states in the South and lower Midwest.

The updated number seems to suggest conservatives are making progress.

In a report last June, the LELDF identified 75 “Soros-backed” prosecutors, who are responsible for protecting an estimated 72 million Americans.

Over the last few years, Soros has spent $40 million to get his favored, left-wing prosecutors elected.

That included roughly $1 million given to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who secured an indictment of former President Donald Trump on Thursday.

The group’s report also noted how the Soros clan of soft-on-crime prosecutors have allowed criminals to prey on innocent communities.

While responsible for protecting 20% of all Americans, the jurisdictions with Soros-backed DAs accounted for 40% of all murders.

“Most of these prosecutors pursue radical justice policies upon assuming office, including eliminating bail, dismissing felony cases, and seeking lenient sentences while creating antagonistic relationships with their public safety partners, especially the police,” LELDF said in its report.

“Crime and violence surged following the election of many of these reform prosecutors.”
