Florida Purple Alert Canceled For Missing Dunedin Man, Located Safe

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Alfred Borek has been located and is safe, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide unit previously issued a Purple Alert for missing 68-year-old Alfred Borek of Dunedin.

According to detectives, Borek left his residence at 532 Howell Street in Dunedin at around 11:00 a.m. on March 9, 2024. Borek was supposed to return to the residence later that evening but failed to do so.

Borek is described as a white male, 5’07”, 220lbs, last seen wearing a black baseball hat, beige short-sleeve shirt, black shorts with a white stripe down the side, and black shoes.
