A 40-year-old Florida woman with a 1-year-old baby was arrested Sunday after drugs were found in her possession.
Shanna Kay Ferguson, 40, was charged with child neglect, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of Adderall without a prescription.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office stopped a silver SUV driven by Ferguson near Mile Marker 50 at approximately 12:36 a.m. after observing the SUV swerve into other lanes of traffic as well as onto a sidewalk, nearly hitting a sign.

There were suspected illegal narcotics in plain view, investigators say.
Deputies say a 1-year-old child was in a passenger seat.
The narcotics were subsequently found during a search. The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.
