HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Two October events at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC) provide options for adopting and caring for pets.

A special adoption event on Saturday, Oct. 14, will allow pet seekers to meet organizations and rescue groups that assist the PRC in its life-saving mission for pets in Hillsborough County.

It also features outdoor play sessions where you can meet your new best friend on a day when all adoption fees are waived. This comes at a critical time for PRC as the shelter currently has over 280 dogs looking for their next family, putting it well over capacity.

The adoption event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the PRC on Falkenburg Road. Prospective adopters can review the pets available for adoption at HCFLGov.net/Adopt
