Holiday Woman Killed In Tarpon Springs Motorcycle Crash

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – A 21-year-old Holiday woman has died in a crash that happened just before 8:00 pm on Friday.

According to the Tarpon Springs Police Department, on Friday at approximately 7:50 pm, officers from the Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to the 39000 Block of US Highway 19 North on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

The female passenger on the 2018 Suzuki motorcycle was fatally injured and pronounced dead on the scene.

She was identified as 21-year-old Alina Faillios Chavez of Holiday, FL. 

The driver of the motorcycle, 20-year-old Jaden Jackson, also of Holiday, was airlifted to Bayonet Point Hospital with serious injuries. 

Police say the SUV, a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox, which struck the motorcyclist, was driven by 30-year-old Kayleigh McLeish.

None of the occupants of the Chevrolet suffered any injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation and we will update this story as more details are released.
