HOUSTON, TX—He was not faster than a speeding bullet, nor did he leap tall buildings in a single bound, but a man dubbed the “Justice League Dropout,” wore a gray baseball cap emblazoned with the Superman emblem while robbing a bank in West Houston on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The FBI Violent Crime Task Force is asking the public to submit tips leading to his identity and location. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
On Aug. 12, 2020, at approximately 1:05 p.m., the man walked into the JPMorgan Chase Bank, located at 10420 Westheimer Road, and presented a demand note. The teller paused, prompting the suspect to say, “I’m not playing! Hurry up!” In fear for her safety, the teller complied. The suspect walked away with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen running northbound on Rogerdale Road.
Witnesses describe the “Justice League Dropout” as an African-American male in his early 40s, approximately 6’1” tall, with a stocky physique. In addition to a gray baseball cap with a large Superman logo on the front, he wore a surgical mask, gloves, light gray T-shirt and black shorts.
