HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Lakeland man has been arrested for creating computer-generated pornographic images of several different victims, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff.

Investigators say on March 13, 2024, three adult victims reported there were computer-generated nude images they had found of themselves online.

The computer-generated images were made from the original clothed images of the victims posted on social media platforms.

The software utilized to create the nude images took the victims’ original photos and removed the victims’ clothing.

After a thorough investigation, a suspect, Sammarth Gautam, 19, was identified.

On Monday, the Lakeland Police Department took him into custody, and he is awaiting extradition to Hillsborough County.

Gautam faces 16 counts of Promotion of an Altered Sexual Depiction without Consent.

“This man’s despicable actions will not be tolerated here in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I am proud of our investigators who were able to get this man off our streets and justice for the victims whose privacy was disgustingly violated.”
