Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) defended a 12-year-old Massachusetts boy who stood up for the idea that only two genders exist.
The Georgia Republican on Sunday tweeted about 12-year-old Liam Morrison, who, according to The Blaze, was sent home from Nichols Middle School in Middleborough, Massachusetts, for wearing a shirt that said, “There are only two genders.”
The incident occurred in March. Liam noted that school officials told him that he was not in trouble. Still, the seventh-graders dad came to pick him up when he refused to take off the shirt.
The conservative Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok highlighted Liam’s case on Sunday, posting a video of a speech he gave to his local school board in defense of his right to wear the shirt.

In the speech to the school board, Liam said, “I was told that my shirt was ‘targeting a protected class.’ Who is this protected class? Are their feelings more important than my rights?”
He also said he did not complain when pro-diversity posters and gay pride flags went up in his school “because others have rights to their beliefs just as I do.”
Yet, he added, “I feel like these adults were telling me it wasn’t OK for me to have an opposing view.”
Congresswoman Greene tweeted that she could relate to Liam.
“Brave boy! This is what courage looks like, and I know how he feels,” she tweeted. “I keep a sign outside my office in the Cannon building that says, ‘There are only two genders.’”
“I get attacked for it everyday, but this 12 yr old boy should not be intimidated and punished by the adults running his tax payer funded school for wearing a t-shirt that declares, not only his speech, but the fundamental truth that science cannot deny,” she added. “Gender is not a choice in the same way your sex is not a choice. A person’s chromosomes specifically tell what sex/gender each of us are.”

Greene continued, “There is no amount of medications or hormones or cosmetic surgery or amputation of body parts or surgical mutilation that will ever change a person’s sex/gender.”
“Anyone that puts their happiness and self-validation into the hands of the medical community, who performs heinous surgical acts all for profit to validate the mental illness these people are suffering and the lies they are believing, will only find short-term satisfaction in a trade for a lifetime of suffering from the ‘treatments’ that were supposed to fix it all.
“But the true crimes being committed,” Greene concluded, “are adults twisting the minds of children to believe these horrific lies and those in the medical field who slaughter their young growing bodies.”
