A New York volleyball coach accused of sexually assaulting one of his teenage players was discovered dead on Friday.

According to MTA police, Jason Maser, 22, Long Island, was discovered after “intentionally” stepping in front of a Long Island Rail Road train around 10:30 p.m. in Syosset. Officials pronounced him deceased on the scene.

The police do not suspect any foul play in this case.

Maser died just hours after appearing in court on counts of rape, criminal sexual conduct, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Prosecutors allege Maser coached the victim, a 15-year-old girl at Sacred Heart Academy and B & B Volleyball Club.

“The family is devastated for obvious reasons,” Maser’s attorney, John Carman, told Newsday. “While they process what has occurred, they are concerned for the young woman involved.”

Maser was charged with two counts of third-degree rape, two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, and endangering the welfare of a child and was facing four years in jail.
