One Man Killed, Three In Critical Condition After Crashing Into Tree Overnight

One person has died and three others sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash that happened just before midnight on Wednesday. St. Petersburg Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – One person has died and three others sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash that happened just before midnight on Wednesday.

According to St. Petersburg Police, officers responded to the scene of a serious crash at Central Avenue and 54th Street that occurred before midnight.

Police say that a pickup truck with four people crashed into a tree, killing one person and critically injuring three others.

A passenger in the pickup truck, 52-year-old William Harris of St. Petersburg was killed in the crash. Police say that next of kin has been notified.

Central Ave was closed at 54th street until 7:30 am.
