TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Police Detectives are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting.
At 6:14 PM, Tampa Police were dispatched to the report of shots heard in the 900 block of S. 22nd St. Officers arrived to find an adult black male in his mid-40’s, deceased as the result of an apparent gunshot wound.
Minutes later, officers were informed a second black male, also in his mid-40’s, had been transported by private vehicle to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives are now working to determine what occurred at the scene and what charges may be applicable in this case.
Police say it is very early in the investigation, information remains fluid, and updates will be provided when they become available.
