HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – The Free Press will be reporting on sex felons living within a one-mile radius of college campuses and universities over the next four to six weeks.
The first college whose statistics have been reviewed is Hillsborough Community College, with thirteen campuses, offices, or other facilities. Here are statistics as of Sunday, February 20:
4001 West Tampa Bay Boulevard (Dale Mabry Campus) – 11 sex felons, including 9 sexual offenders, 2 sexual predators, and one multi-housing residence with 2 or more sex felons located at 3915 West Alva Avenue with 2 sex felons residing.
2112 North 15th Street, Ybor City (Ybor Campus)– 63 sex felons, including 52 sexual offenders and 11 sexual predators. 11 are transients. Multi-housing units of two or more sex felons residing include North Nebraska Avenue at East Forest Avenue, 4712 East Hillsborough Avenue, 2919 North Nebraska Avenue, 1207 East 24th Avenue, 2501 East 20th Avenue, and 3611 East Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.
10451 Nancy Watkins Drive, Tampa (Brandon Campus)– 4 sex felons, including 3 sexual offenders and 1 sexual predator. None are listed as transients. Multi-housing of two or more sex felons residing include 3909 Valley Tree Drive.
1206 North Park Road, Plant City (Plant City Campus) – 11 sex felons, including 11 sex offenders, no sexual predators, one transient, and no multi-housing of sex felons.
551 24th Street Northeast, Ruskin (Southshore Campus)– 10 sex felons, including 10 sexual offenders, no sexual predators or transients, and one multi-housing of two or more felons located at 1517 3rd Avenue Southeast.
39 Columbia Drive, Tampa (District Administration Center) – 5 sex felons, including 3 sexual offenders and two sexual predators, one of which is transient.
8102 Condor Street, MacDill Air Force Base – No sex felons are mapped for this area.
6437 Watson Road, Riverview (HCC at The Regent) – 9 sex felons with no predators, transients, or multi-housing residences mapped.
5610 East Columbus Drive, Tampa (Campus Training Center)– 31 sex felons, including 28 sexual offenders, three sexual predators, and five transients including one counted sexual predator, and multi-housing of sex felons located at 1201 North Orient Road, 2917 Orient Road, 3011 Orient Road, 3101 Orient Road and East Broadway Avenue at Orient Road.
4010 North Lois Avenue, Tampa (Hawks Landing Student Housing) – 10 sex felons, including 9 sexual offenders, 1 sexual predator, and one multi-housing residence located at 3915 West Alva Street.
The Hillsborough Community College Collaboration Studio is near the 2112 North 15th Street address reported above and not listed separately. The Tennis Center for the college is located next to the campus located at 4001 West Tampa Bay Boulevard and is not listed separately.
